** NEW ** Session III (March 13th – April 2nd)
April School Break & Summer Workshops
Mini Workshops
YBA’s Original LIVE Webcasts (join the show!)
Do you have better conversations with your child through the phone or the computer? When they do talk, do they mumble or talk softly so you can’t understand them? Young Broadcasters of America exclusive curriculum is designed to help.
Using the subjects of sports or pop culture, YBA engages young people in dialog about the things they are passionate about. The camera motivates and exposes them, to see themselves as the world sees and hears them.
Each level consists of 20 hours of instruction. Workshop sessions take place two days a week for 2 hours per day. Missed workshops may be made up on a different day that same week or in the next session.
The beginner level- or the first 20 hours of instruction will give the participants a thorough introduction to the broadcast industry and the skills that are associated with it. Starting with the first day participants are on camera.
Once a participant completes their first 20-hours of training they receive a certificate of accomplishment and will become eligible to appear on original YBA programs like Back Talk, Trendy Teen Tv, or KSports Sunday!
The intermediate level-or the next 20 hours is the most critical because it exposes the participants to specific skills that can become a focus for their career or just to round out their media education.
